Member
You can be a member of Dietitians of Canada if you are:
a dietitian who has completed a DC dietetic internship/stage or combined Masters/internship program
a dietitian who is registered, or registration eligible, with a provincial regulatory body
a dietitian who is a registered with the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics
a former member of Dietitians of Canada
You may be eligible for a reduced membership fee as:
First time member
If this is your first time joining as a DC member, you are entitled to this fee type. This category does not apply to reinstating DC members. If you have previously been a Qualifying Member, you may be eligible to join as a first-time Member
Second year member
If you were a first-time member last year, you are eligible for this fee type. This category does not apply to reinstating DC members
Full-time graduate student
(all criteria must be met)
You are registered, or registration eligible, with a provincial regulatory body
You are in a full-time graduate degree program on a full-time basis as of April 1
You are not employed full-time
You have been a member or Qualifying Member of DC for at least one full year immediately prior to your renewal
Retired
You were formerly registered with a provincial dietetic regulatory body or Member of DC, and you meet
one
of the following criteria:
Permanently retired from work and aged 55 years or over
Permanently retired from work and no longer able to work due to a medical condition
