Grains, such as wheat, rice, oats and corn, are a staple of the diet. They provide our bodies with carbohydrates, B-vitamins, iron and zinc. Canada’s Food Guide suggests that you should choose whole grains more often. Whole grains include whole wheat, oats, brown rice, quinoa and whole rye.
