Lactose

Lactose is a type of sugar that is found in milk and products made from milk. Our bodies need a special enzyme called lactase to properly digest lactose. If we don’t have enough of this enzyme, lactose can cause cramps, bloating and diarrhea. This condition is called lactose intolerance.
