Organic foods are grown or produced without the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, antibiotics and growth hormones. Instead, organic producers rely on crop rotation, recycling plant and animal wastes, and natural pesticides. Organic food produced in Canada includes grains, vegetables, tree fruit, grapes and berries, beef, pork, poultry, milk and maple syrup.
