Crunchy carrots, stir-fried broccoli and tender sweet potatoes are a great way to get lots of vitamins, minerals and fibre in your diet. Eating these and all other vegetables is a smart and delicious way to decrease your risk of developing chronic diseases. Choose a variety of vegetables each day.  Buying vegetables when they are in season and choosing those grown locally can help to reduce the cost.
