Vitamin D is often called the ‘sunshine’ vitamin since the skin is able to make the vitamin when exposed to the sun’s rays. It is also found in milk and fatty fish. Vitamin D is best known for its role in keeping bones healthy and is also involved in fighting infections and controlling blood pressure.
