Nutrition Month – March 2016

Take a 100 meal journey. Make small changes, one meal at a time.
 
The Nutrition Month 2016 campaign was dedicated to supporting Canadians to make small changes to their eating patterns – one meal at a time.  Every year we choose a campaign theme based on input from members and consumers. The goal of the campaign is to provide information and guidance to make it a little easier for Canadians to choose, eat and enjoy healthy food.
 
Dietitians in communities and workplaces across the country are hosted events during March. Dietitians of Canada members participated and organized 404 events across Canada. Members had a variety of tools and resources to support their planning including a Toolkit, bilingual fact sheets, blog and newsletter material, tips and tweets to share and a ready-to-go power point presentation found here.  
 
We encouraged community leaders and other health professionals to get involved too.

Once a year, a special day is dedicated to all dietitians across Canada. For 2016, ‘Dietitians Day’ was on March 16.
 
Nutrition Month is brought to you by Dietitians of Canada and thousands of dietitians across the country, in collaboration with the campaign sponsors.
