2018 Recipients

Laura Bellussi

Laura Bellussi began her studies at Mount Saint Vincent University and graduated with a BSc Applied Human Nutrition. During that time, she developed a desire to become involved in public health nutrition. Ultimately, her passion led her to pursue a MScA at McGill University, where she completed a scoping review of the International Polar Year – Inuit Health Survey and conducted a research project that investigated the relationship between sociodemographic factors and body weight among Inuit children. Currently, Laura is a dietetic intern at the Moncton Hospital Graduate Dietetic Internship Program.

Lindsay VanderSpank

Lindsay VanderSpank graduated from Brescia University College with Honours Specialization in Nutrition and Dietetics and a Minor in Psychology. She is currently completing the Dietetic Education and Practical Training program through Brescia. Lindsay has a passion for working with vulnerable populations. She chose her work experiences and internship placements to improve the lives of youths, veterans, Indigenous peoples, and people living with mental health illness. Lindsay is excited for the opportunity to attend this year’s conference and begin her career as a dietitian.
