Food and Culinary

The enjoyment of great tasting food is an integral part of healthy eating. While dietitians continue to gain credibility and visibility as "the nutrition experts", the perception that they lack food and cooking knowledge persists. The goal of the Food and Culinary Network is for dietitians to share food experiences, learn what makes food taste for their own use and provide tips and tools for dietitians to use with their clients about great tasting healthy food.

Membership includes
  • a newsletter three times a year with food news, recipes and other useful information and
  • an event or workshop at the Dietitians of Canada annual conference.



  • Sample issue of Culinary Times newsletter

    (June 2015) The network newsletter is published 4 times a year. This sample issue offers offers articles, survey results and recipes.

  • Network Feedback on Menu Labellng

    (January 2015) Results from a survey of network members that were then forwarded to DC Public Affairs as part of the association's response to the ministry's proposed initiative on menu labelling.
