The International Congress of Dietetics (ICD), which convenes once every four years, is being held in Cape Town, South Africa September 15-18, 2020. The theme for ICD 2020 is “Improving Nutrition - Unlocking Potential - Accelerating Change”
and is sure to draw the interest of dietitians around the globe.
DC is offering two Novice Researcher Travel Awards to support dietitian-led research and our profession’s knowledge base. To be eligible, applicants will have 5 or fewer years of research experience. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate initiative in bringing research into their workplace over applicants who hold a research position or whose research experience is a requirement of a graduate program. This award will cover the airfare (booked by DC) and a maximum of $1,000 CAD to cover congress registration or other travel expenses.
Applications should include:
1. A letter about becoming a researcher including research in your practice; please be specific in describing your role in projects in the past five years.
2. A copy of your submitted abstract for ICD2020.
And when received:
3. A copy of your confirmation of your accepted abstract from ICD2020.
