DC Extended Health Benefits Working Group

DC is engaged in advocating for the coverage of dietitian services in group insurance health benefits plans.

Canadians deserve nutrition guidance they can trust, and dietitians are the best choice to provide it. Expanding insurance coverage for dietitian services is key in improving access to dietitians, helping Canadians be healthier and reducing disease burden.

DC is developing a strategy and advocacy plan to enhance the coverage of dietitian services by group insurance plans. To help with this work, we are forming an Extended Health Benefits Working Group.

Why Join?
The DC Extended Health Benefits Working Group will:

  • Help shape DC’s strategy to improve insurance coverage for dietitian services

  • Contribute insights and feedback to DC’s staff, leadership team and consultants to strengthen our initiatives

We are looking for:

  • DC members in private or consulting practice, with experience with group insurance health benefits plan

  • Term: November 2025 to March 2026

Applications are now closed, more news to follow in the coming months on this Workign Group's next steps.

DC Chapters Working Group

DC is building a national chapter structure to better connect and support members in every region. The Chapters Working Group will bring together leaders from across the country to guide this exciting work. Together, we will design how chapters are governed, resourced, and supported—so members everywhere can connect locally while being supported nationally.

By joining, you will not only work directly with DC staff and leadership, but also play a key role in launching the very first DC Chapters.

Why Join?

As a member of the Chapters Working Group, you will:

  • Help shape a new model for growing regional activities and advocacy

  • Grow your leadership experience and build your network of dietetic peers across Canada and within DC

This is a chance to build something new, strengthen our community, and leave a lasting impact on the profession. Applications have now closed, more news to follow in the coming months on this Workign Group's next steps.
