MOP™ Toolkit (Motivation over the Phone)

MOP stands for Motivation Over the Phone. The MOP approach utilizes evidence-based counselling strategies aimed at changing client behaviour and motivation levels.  

This hands-on interactive toolkit includes 11 techniques and skills such as reflective listening, agenda setting and goal setting, each with a set of verbal stems to help in the delivery of a client centred approach from the moment of introduction to the development of the care plan.  These strategies can be applied across different counselling settings, including face-to-face and virtually.

It is recommended that this toolkit be used in combination with the one-hour Learning On Demand session, Using Behaviour Change Techniques and Hands-On Tools to Enhance your Unique Nutrition Practice, which teaches practical tips and strategies on how to use behaviour change techniques in your counselling sessions using the MOP approach.
