Physiological wellbeing is the first subtheme of Nutrition Month 2025: Nourish to Flourish. This toolkit provides key resources to highlight the role of nutrition in supporting overall health and bodily functions.

Why It Matters

Good nutrition is essential for health at every stage of life. Eating the right balance of foods provides the vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids, amino acids, and antioxidants our bodies need for:

Disease prevention and management

Adequate nutrition supports health across the lifespan—from pregnancy and infancy to adulthood and aging. It plays a key role in preventing malnutrition (both under- and overnutrition), strengthening the immune system, reducing the risk of chronic diseases like diabetes and cardiovascular disease, and promoting longevity.
