Dietitians make a difference in all health care settings, from health promotion and prevention to across the entire continuum of care. They contribute a broad range of skills as clinicians, practitioners, educators, researchers and as leaders and are key members of healthcare teams. Through government and stakeholder engagement and the advocacy activities of action groups and committees, DC and dedicated members aim to increase access to dietitians for all individuals and communities.
DC's current advocacy efforts to increase access to dietitian services in the health system are focused on primary care, home care, long term care and mental health. Learn more about each of these issues and the importance of dietitians by using the menu items on the right. You can get involved in advocacy activities by joining action groups or connecting with your Regional Executive Director.
