Truth and Reconciliation

Dietitians of Canada is grateful for the strength and wisdom of Indigenous peoples, who have stewarded the many homelands across Turtle Island with such care for thousands of years. We recognize the dietetic profession’s role and responsibility in the history of oppression of Indigenous peoples, the effects of which continue today. There is much more work to be done. We are committed to listening, learning and working together with humility and in partnership with Indigenous voices.

To this end, DC is very pleased to share the following resources. By taking collective action to learn and do better we can make changes to the way we live and create a better future for all.

The resources listed on this page have been recommended by DC members, the DC Board of Directors, the Indigenous Nutrition Knowledge Information Network and many others. They are offered here to advance our knowledge but should not be seen as an endorsement by DC or an exhaustive list.

Help us build this knowledge base. DC invites you to share your ideas and resources at equity@dietitians.ca.
