RD Jennifer Gibson is carving a new road in the sport dietetic profession. The co-chair of the Sport Nutrition Network, she was one of the first dietitians in Canada to hold a full-time salaried sport dietitian position and has accomplished a wealth of experience in only 4 years of practice.
 
For the last 3 years, Jennifer has been working and travelling with high performance athletes and teams. Her clients include: Women's Professional Tennis Tour, Canadian Women's Soccer, Canadian Snowboarding, Canadian Alpine Disabled Skiing, Softball Canada, Team BC and the Vancouver Whitecaps soccer club. She has travelled across 5 continents with some highlights including the 2007 Pan American Games (Brazil), 2007 Canada Winter Games (Whitehorse), 2008 Wimbledon and 2007 Australian Open Tennis Tournament.
 
Originally from Toronto, Jennifer completed her honours BASc in food and nutrition (minor in marketing) at Ryerson University and her dietetic internship at the University Health Network. Jennifer is an honours graduate of the IOC Diploma in Sport Nutrition, awarded by the Medical Commission of the International Olympic Committee. She is also a level 1 anthropometrist with ISAK (International Society for the Advancement of Kinanthropometry). Jennifer is currently obtaining her MSc in Exercise Science at the University of Victoria in BC. Her thesis work is focused on developing validated iron screening tools for female athletes.
