- BC Budget 2017 Consultation Submission to the Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services
(October 2016) – Dietitians of Canada (BC) was pleased to provide input to the 2017 Budget Consultation. Recommendations include service delivery improvements using the unique expertise of dietitians, taking action so all British Columbians can afford healthy food and closing the loophole excluding sugar sweetened beverages from provincial sales tax.

(July 2016) – The Dietitians of Canada (BC) recommendations to the Committee include ensuring patient safety and quality of care through evidence based nutrition services and staffing interdisciplinary teams with regulated health professionals, including registered dietitians.

- DC Ontario response to Patients First Discussion Paper
(February 2016) – DC Ontario provides recommendations to strengthen the Ontario health system through an integrated system that supports communication between patients, health sectors, and healthcare providers. Leadership roles for dietitians, engagement of all health professionals, and outcome measurement are also recommended.

(January 2015) – Dietitians of Canada Ontario Region presented recommendations to improve health through improving access to healthy food for all Ontarians and access to services of Registered Dietitians.

- HEAL recommendations for inter-provincial collaboration to improve health care in Canada
(June 2013) – HEAL (Health Action Lobby) sent a letter to Premiers Ghiz and Wall, Co-Chairs of the Heath Care Innovation Working Group in June 2013. This letter explains to the Premiers collective recommendations of health professionals on next health care innovation steps.

- Health Promotion and Disease Prevention: A Call to Action from Dietitians
(January 2012) – DC submitted a brief to the House of Commons Committee on Health (HESA), which began its study of Health Promotion and Disease Prevention in December 2011.
- Strengthening the Canadian Health System: A Call to Action from Dietitians
(November 2011) – The Senate Committee on Social Affairs, Science and Technology was accepting submissions in preparation for the Health Accord 2014. Dietitians of Canada called for action in three areas: increased investment in health promotion and non-communicable disease prevention including access to healthy food, coordinated interprofessional health services, and sufficient labour supply and access to dietitians.
