Presented by the Canadian Foundation for Dietetic Research in collaboration with Dietitians of Canada
This webinar will present the results of a recent CFDR-funded study examining dietetic educators' perceptions of the barriers and supports for teaching sustainable food systems (SFS) in an accredited dietetics program in Canada. We will describe the current state of SFS education in Canadian dietetics programs and highlight the institutional, departmental, and professional supports identified by educators as being essential to their teaching. We will share new international research on SFS education for nutritionists and dietitians, and provide attendees with guidance on where to find resources and support to deliver SFS education in their programs.
