Menopause 101 for Dietitians: Hormones, Symptoms, and Nutrition Considerations [DOC, AHMED, IFN Netw

Dietitians play a crucial role in supporting women through the menopause transition. This webinar will provide a deeper understanding of the hormonal shifts that occur during this stage of life, the physiological changes that impact metabolism, body composition, bone and cardiovascular health, and the common symptoms that many people experience.

Special attention will be paid to patterns of eating that support midlife and overall health, the role of protein in maintaining muscle and health, and other key nutrients including fiber, calcium and omega-3 fatty acids.

This webinar is split into 3 portions:
1: Understanding the hormone changes that happen in perimenopause and menopause.
2: Symptoms and physiological changes of midlife, including impact on cardiovascular health.
3: Nutrition priorities for women in perimenopause and menopause.

Dr. Jenn Salib Huber, RD, ND, CIEC is a Registered Dietitian, Naturopathic Doctor, and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor with degrees from Acadia University and the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.

With 25 years of clinical experience and a personal journey through early menopause, Jenn specializes in midlife health, menopause, intuitive eating, and the Health at Every Size approach. She is passionate about promoting evidence-based, positive nutrition messages that empower women to make informed decisions about their health while fostering a peaceful relationship with food and their bodies.

Jenn is also the host of The Midlife Feast podcast and offers online programs and community support for women navigating midlife and menopause.
