About the speaker:

Catherine (she/they) holds a PhD in Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies (Calgary), in MA in Adult Education (UBC), a BASc in Human Nutrition (Guelph), and completed a dietetic internship at Vancouver General Hospital, and Documentary Film and Textile Arts programs at Capilano University. Cath’s interest in the nutritional care when working with transgender and gender diverse people began when one of her children transitioned; she was embarrassed to realize she had never considered how gender identity was crucial to nutrition assessment so set out to explore the topic to create resources and supports for use in dietetics education and professional development.
