Community Groups provide an opportunity for Dietitians of Canada members with shared identities, lived experiences, or common interests to connect, build community, and support one another. These member-led groups foster meaningful conversations, peer support, networking, and the exchange of ideas in an inclusive and welcoming environment. DC has eight Community Groups led by dedicated member volunteers who help facilitate discussions, organize activities, and create opportunities for members to connect throughout the year.
Each Community Group has its own dedicated page and discussion forum where members can share experiences, ask questions, celebrate successes, and access group-specific resources and updates. Joining a Community Group is a great way to expand your professional network, build connections with peers who share similar experiences or interests, and contribute to a supportive member community.
Community Groups are included as a benefit of Dietitians of Canada membership—there is no additional fee to join. Members can join as many Community Groups as they like and can update their selections at any time during the membership year by logging in to their DC account.
Review each Community Group to learn more about its purpose, activities, and opportunities to get involved. You are also encouraged to reach out to the Community Group facilitators if you have questions or would like to learn more about whether a group is the right fit for you.
Note: Joining a Community Group requires an active Dietitians of Canada membership. Not a member? Learn how to become a DC member.
