The future of our food systems: Sustainable diets for all

The Food and Agricultural Organization (2010) defines sustainable diets as “protective and respectful of biodiversity and ecosystems, culturally acceptable, accessible, economically fair and affordable; nutritionally adequate, safe and healthy; while optimizing natural and human resources.” Dietitians play an important role in promoting sustainable diets by shaping sustainable food policies and practices, and through their expertise in influencing food choice and eating behaviour. In this session, a renowned expert in sustainable food systems describes the challenges of the current
food system, and explains how both behaviour change and new technologies can help support more sustainable solutions. View this session to develop your knowledge and expertise as an advocate for sustainable diets.
