Nutrition Month – March 2017

The Nutrition Month 2017 campaign is dedicated to supporting Canadians to end their struggles with food. Every year we choose a campaign theme based on input from members and consumers. The goal of the campaign is to provide information and guidance to make it a little easier for Canadians to sort out common issues.
Dietitians in communities and workplaces across the country are hosting events during March. Dietitians of Canada members are participating and organizing events across Canada. Members will have a variety of tools and resources to support them, including a Resource Manual, bilingual fact sheets, blog posts, tweets to share, a ready-to-go power point presentation, feature recipes, an ad, playful video clips and more.
We encourage community leaders and other health professionals to get involved too. We created an Official Communications Ambassador Toolkit again this year to help support you to actively participate in Nutrition Month 2017.
Here are some key dates for the Nutrition Month Campaign:
February 22: ‘Take the pledge’ and weekly e-News sign up
March 1: First day of Nutrition Month
March 15: Dietitians Day

Once a year, a special day is dedicated to all dietitians across Canada. For 2017, ‘Dietitians Day’ was March 15.
Nutrition Month is brought to you by Dietitians of Canada and thousands of dietitians across the country, in collaboration with the campaign sponsors.
