Successful Queen's Park Advocacy Day to discuss nutrition and mental health

On March 5, DC members in Ontario hosted a successful advocacy day at Queen's Park in Toronto. The group engaged over 40 Ontario MPPs and staff in discussion about the impact of nutrition on mental health. Key messages included the key role of dietitians in maintaining optimal mental health and our role in the management of mental health issues. MPPs and staff alike were engaged in discussion and interested in learning about the link between healthy eating and mental health outcomes. Ongoing meetings are planned to continue to share our influence in this area.
