FAQs for Members

DC's Member Services team is always happy to help you navigate the tools and services on the DC website and on your profile.  Below are some of the most common questions from members.
 
 

I am unable to access my DC account.

You can request a password reset email here and select “Forgot Password/Username? Click here to retrieve it.” The email will be sent to the preferred email address that you've specified in your DC profile. Your username is the email address that is associated with your DC account.
 
My password is not working even though I just updated it recently.

Please clear the cookies and cache in your browser and try to login again. To clear your cookies and cache on your browser, follow these steps:
  1. On your computer, open your browser (Chrome for example).
  2. At the top right, click 'More'.
  3. Click More tools. Clear browsing data.
  4. At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
  5. Check the boxes next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files".
  6. Click Clear data.

I am unable to access my online courses and LOD's.

The Online Learning Platform login is different from your DC account login. When you purchased your course, an email would have been sent to you with your login information.

You can access your online courses from your Library on the DC website in the following way:
  1. Login to the DC website.
  2. At the top right of the website, click on your name. A drop down list appears.
  3. In the list of choices, click “Learning Library”. Your entire library of online courses and Learning on Demand items will appear.
  4. Search for the desired online course, then click "Click here to access." You will be transferred to the online course website at http://courses.dietitians.ca.
  5. At the top right corner of the website, click on Log In. The Log In page displays.
  6. Supply your online course email and password (different from your DC login). You are logged in.
Your username is the email address you provided when you purchased the course.
Your password is secret to you. If you must reset your password, please go here and type in your email address in either field: http://courses.dietitians.ca/login/forgot_password.php. The system will send you a password reset email. Please monitor your email inbox and spam folder. When you receive the email, please follow the instructions in it.
 
How do I access my receipts and insurance certificate? 

You can download your receipts and insurance certificate from the "My Purchases" section in your member account.
You can access "My Purchases" on the DC website in the following way:
  1. Login to the DC website.
  2. At the top right of the website, click on your name. A drop down list appears.
  3. In the list of choices, click “My Purchases”. 
  4. Select "Download Receipts" in the corresponding purchase on the Order History page. From there you have the option to download your receipts and insurance certificate.

How can I find information about my membership status?

To see your current membership status please:
  1. Login to the DC website.
  2. At the top right of the website, click on your name. A drop down list appears.
  3. Select “Membership History”.
 You can now see your membership information.
 
How can I refer someone to DC?

All members are invited to refer a new or lapsed member (has not been a DC member in the past 365 days. The new or returning member must meet the criteria for first-year, part-time (new) or full membership. The referring member will receive a refund of $50 for EACH eligible member they refer. 
The new member has to provide this information from the DC account:
  1. Go to "My Profile"
  2. Scroll down to “How did you hear about us?” and choose “Referral” in the drop down menu
  3. Provide the name and email of the referrer

I cannot access the Canadian Journal of Dietetic Practice.

DC Members can access the Journal of Dietetic Practice the following way:
  1. In your DC account select your first name on the top right of the screen and click on Dashboard
  2. Then scroll down to "Member resources" and select "Log into the Canadian Journal of Dietetic Practice"
  3. On the next page, select "View Journal"

When I apply a promo code it says the code is no longer valid.

Please note that when applying the code an error message sometimes shows that the code has already been used. This can happen when a promo code is associated with a failed transaction and it can take about 24 hours for the system to reset the code. Please wait 24 hours and try again. After that the system should accept the code again. If the system still won’t accept your code email contactus@dietitians.ca.
 

I cannot access PEN or my PEN credits.
